Family Pathways

Family Pathways is a multi-service agency serving local communities in East Central Minnesota and Polk County, Wisconsin. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with 38 years of experience developing supportive, caring relationships that help people meet their basic needs. With strong leadership and collaborative connections, we create strategies to help our rural communities deal with issues of poverty and instability.

Hunger Relief Services:  Nine Family Pathways Food Shelves and a mobile food truck provide relief from hunger in the communities we serve – Cambridge, Chisago Lakes Area, Forest Lake, Frederic WI, Hinckley, North Branch, Onamia, Sandstone, St. Croix Falls WI, and Mora (Food Partnership).  Last year, Family Pathways distributed over 2,240,000 meals through more than 29,000 family visits.

Youth Services:  Family Pathways Youth Services works with local youth helping them to thrive through mentoring and enrichment programs.  We operate four teen centers providing a safe place for area youth to congregate after school for positive adult and youth interaction and learning.  Last year, Family Pathways saw an increase to 16,000 teen visits at our centers.

Aging Services:  Family Pathways Aging Services helps advance the health, safety, and well-being of older adults to help them maintain independent living as long as possible.  Last year, we supported 515 seniors and their caregivers and provided 7,353 hours of assistance.

The Refuge Network, a domestic abuse and sexual assault program and shelter:  The Refuge Network, a program of Family Pathways, provides supportive services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in East Central Minnesota.  Through community-based advocacy and the Black Dog Hill Battered Women’s Shelter, the Refuge Network serves over 2,000 women, children, and men annually.  Services include crisis intervention, information and referrals, advocacy, court assistance, community education, hospital and law enforcement response, support groups, and emergency shelter.

Family Pathways Thrift Stores rely on generous donations from the local community, to collect used clothing and household items.  Each year, over two million pounds of product is recycled, providing even more funding for Family Pathways programs that support our communities and reduce the amount of waste to our environment.
